Montana Libertarian Party Officers Convention Update

The MTLP had its 2019 Officers Convention in Great Falls this past weekend. The Business meeting was held in the conference room of the Holiday Inn Express. Thank you all for a smooth and well-run convention. I would like to especially thank Elinor Swanson for her efforts as chair of the Events Committee! Thank you Ellie!

Election Results:

MTLP Board:

  • Chair - Sid Daoud

  • Vice Chair - Elinor Swanson

  • Treasurer - Joe Leavengood

  • Secretary - Karson Rosander

Public Service Commission District Representatives (PSC District Rep):

  • District 1 - Currently Vacant

  • District 2 - Jacob Kitson

  • District 3 - Dave Walker

  • District 4 - Currently Vacant

  • District 5 - Ron Vandevender

Judicial Committee:

  • Francis Wendt (Chair)

  • Angie Killian

  • Ryan Pillsbury

  • Tim Ravendal

  • Roger Roots

  • Becky “Renea” Vandevender

  • Mikalia Vandevender

Bylaw Changes:

The Bylaws had a few changes that were voted on and approved.

Most notable were:

  • Removed the Second Vice Chair, Deputy Treasurer and Deputy Secretary positions from the board

  • Renamed the First Vice Chair to Vice Chair

  • Added 5 board positions for Public Service Commission District Representatives
